Kingaroy MEG

The Kingaroy and District Bicentennial Heritage Museum, situated in Kingaroy near the peanut silos, officially began a Memories of Energy Group (MEG) on Thursday 14th March, 2002. The launch of the MEG was announced at the opening of Queensland Energy Musuem's (QEM) Sounds Electric! exhibition, which will be displayed at Kingaroy museum for four weeks.

Significantly, the museum building is the old Kingaroy Powerhouse. The museum houses the history of the peanut industry in Kingaroy and has a collection of photographs and objects related to Kingaroy's history.
