Lighting Up Yarraman Exhibition Launched

On Saturday 25th June, Yarraman Heritage Centre held an Open Day to launch the centre's new exhibition, Lighting Up Yarraman.


Tarong Energy sponsored the exhibition and Queensland Energy Museum's Director, Dr. Jan King conducted the research andco-ordinated the project.


Lighting Up Yarraman tells the story of the small privately-owned powerhouse in yarraman and the impact of electricity on the development of the town. Included in the exhibition is a model of the powerhouse and an audio recording of the memories and experiences of Yarraman's pioneers of electricity.
