Signing of Two New Sister Museum Agreements

It was with great pleasure that in March 2006, QEM signed two Sister Museum Agreements with other like-minded museums, one in Thargomindah, Bulloo Shire, south west Queensland and one in New Zealand.

The Sister Museum Agreement between QEM and the Thargomindah Hydro Power Plant Museum in Bulloo Shire was signed on 27 March 2006 by the Director of QEM and the Mayor of Bulloo Shire Council. More news and views about the visit to Thargomindah will appear later in April. The photographs from Bulloo Shire are available below.

The New Zealand Sister Museum Agreement was signed by QEM and the Chairperson of the Electricity Transmission Heritage of New Zealand Incorporated, GridHeritage on 28 March 2006. Photographs from New Zealand will appear soon.

QEM will be working with representatives from both the Thargomindah Hydro Power Plant Museum and GridHeritage (NZ) to ensure a positive exchange of ideas and the production of joint projects in the future.
